Data & AI Director (AI)

Location: United States - Remote; the posting also states that the full-time position is based in Canada. Remote and hybrid options are country-dependent.

Salary: 150k-200k CAD annually, depending on experience and location.

What you will do

• Lead Data & AI pursuits from qualification through signed SOW, including solution design, economics, estimating, scoping, presentations, and go/no-go decisions.
• Turn broad client ambitions into phased programs that prove value early and establish foundations for scale.
• Serve as technical lead on two client engagements at a time, owning architecture, technical risk, quality, and production readiness.
• Ensure AI solutions have the required data, platform, evaluation, observability, and support foundations.
• Shape staffing, interview senior candidates, coach practitioners, and lead through influence without initial direct reports.
• Build reusable reference architectures, estimating models, solution patterns, and the practice point of view for industrial, manufacturing, agriculture, and distribution clients.

Requirements

• Typically 12 or more years in data, analytics, and AI, including at least 5 years in consulting, professional services, or client-facing delivery roles leading multiple engagements concurrently.
• Hands-on depth in both AI and agentic solution design and modern data platform architecture; ability to design either, lead technical teams on both, and engage with client architects.
• Deep, recent experience with at least one of Databricks, Google Cloud, or Microsoft data and AI platforms, with working fluency across the other two.
• Experience shaping and winning enterprise pursuits, including solutioning, estimating, scoping, and presenting to executive buyers.
• Executive presence, with the ability to form and defend a clear point of view and revise it when evidence requires.
• Ability to work effectively while priorities shift, multiple clients need support, and decisions are time-sensitive.
• Experience delivering data or AI work for industrial, manufacturing, agriculture, or distribution businesses.

Nice to have

• French language skills.
• Current certification from Databricks, Google Cloud, or Microsoft.
• Published articles, conference talks, or another public point of view on enterprise AI.
