Product Line Manager, Session Smart Router (SSR) (Networking)

Location: Hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office; open to candidates anywhere in the United States, with a preference for Westford, Massachusetts or near a major airport. Occasional travel may be required.

Base salary: $178,000–$339,000 annual salary in Massachusetts, United States; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Define and execute the Session Smart Router product roadmap across software, management, and hardware platforms.
• Partner with engineering, QA, program management, security, support, field, and customer-facing teams on releases, dependencies, product commitments, and customer escalations.
• Translate customer, field, and market requirements into product requirements, priorities, and roadmap decisions.
• Support product security, compliance, federal and regulated-market requirements, and customer communications.
• Improve deployment, upgrades, sizing, documentation, platform performance, scale, lifecycle, and capacity planning across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Support pricing, licensing, SKU management, offer transitions, field readiness, product positioning, and technical enablement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise or service-provider networking.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, technical marketing, solutions architecture, engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong knowledge of routing and networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, segmentation, high availability, QoS, IPsec, and NAT.
• Experience with SD-WAN, network security, or related networking technologies.
• Experience working across engineering, support, field, and customer-facing organizations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to technical and business audiences.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for applicable federal customer engagements.
• Ability to travel for customer engagements, planning sessions, and industry events, and to support occasional critical global customer situations outside standard business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Session Smart Router, 128 Technology, Secure Vector Routing, Conductor, Mist WAN Assurance, or comparable SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience supporting federal or regulated markets and related security or compliance requirements.
• Experience with product security processes, security advisories, or security-related customer communications.
• Knowledge of networking hardware lifecycle, product pricing, licensing, or SKU management.
• Networking or security certifications such as JNCIE, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent expertise.
