IT Project Manager (Government IT)

Location: Fully remote; the role is associated with US government IT and requires HUD suitability.

Salary: $94,150–$120,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead IT projects from initiation and planning through implementation, closeout, and lessons learned.
• Define scope, objectives, requirements, deliverables, timelines, success criteria, schedules, milestones, and resource needs.
• Coordinate infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, application, database, business, and vendor activities.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while tracking schedule, budget, resource, technical risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
• Facilitate kickoffs, status meetings, technical discussions, stakeholder reviews, and executive updates.
• Coordinate testing, implementation, migration, cutover, and go-live activities; maintain project documentation and improve project management standards, templates, and governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of IT project management experience, or commensurate experience.
• Experience leading IT projects through initiation, planning, execution, implementation, and closeout.
• Experience defining project scope, requirements, deliverables, timelines, success criteria, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Experience coordinating technical and business teams across infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, applications, and databases.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, facilitate stakeholder meetings, identify risks and dependencies, and maintain project logs and documentation.
• Ability to provide status reports and executive-level updates and escalate issues requiring leadership attention.
• Must be able to attain and maintain HUD suitability.
