Competitive Intelligence Strategist (Cybersecurity)

Compensation: €77,500–€87,500 annual base salary plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead Europe-focused market and competitive research while contributing to global competitive and market intelligence priorities.
• Design and conduct buyer, customer, partner, win/loss, competitor, review, community, survey, and quantitative research, triangulating evidence across sources.
• Research European cybersecurity frameworks, regulation, data residency, sovereignty, procurement, and cross-border data access.
• Support Sales and Sales Engineering with deal reviews, opportunity guidance, discovery questions, objection handling, talk tracks, competitive content, office hours, and learning sessions.
• Develop competitive positioning, battlecards, competitor comparisons, market landscapes, campaign input, and recommendations for Sales, Product, Marketing, Pricing, and leadership.
• Share win, loss, and churn insights with Product, support PR and analyst-relations work, and use AI tools for validated, traceable research synthesis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with a background in competitive or market intelligence, market research, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or customer-facing sales, combined with a research-minded approach.
• Technical familiarity with cybersecurity products and the ability to engage credibly with technical buyers, sellers, and product teams.
• Experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, analyzing buyer or market evidence, and producing defensible recommendations.
• Experience researching European markets or adapting research to differences across countries, buyer contexts, and routes to market.
• Ability to assess source quality, separate fact from interpretation, and explain what evidence does and does not support.
• Ability to translate complex research into concise outputs and present findings to commercial, product, marketing, and senior audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting PR or analyst relations or serving as a spokesperson.
• Familiarity with relevant European cybersecurity frameworks or regulations.
