Software Development Manager (Network Monitoring)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and hire a high-performing software development team.
• Own the design, development, testing, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of highly distributed, large-scale services.
• Lead complex, multi-team, cross-functional projects for Network Monitoring and Remediation software used across hirify.global businesses.
• Define long-term technical and business strategies, goals, resource requirements, and business targets with senior executives.
• Engage directly with customers to design solutions, automate operations, innovate, and select appropriate technologies.
• Support career development, hiring, technical decision-making, and broader engineering leadership across AWS.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software, hardware, and network development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
• Experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and explain software features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams to improve their skills and effectiveness.
