AI/ML Business Data Analyst

An organization is bringing mature AI capabilities in-house after extensive vendor partnerships and custom development to support long-term internal business strategies.

What you will do

• Review AI/ML initiatives and vendor-delivered bot data to identify trends and recommend high-impact expansion opportunities.
• Evaluate vendor-provided model performance indicators, data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and create detailed AS-IS and TO-BE documentation, technical specifications, and ROI business cases.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and develop AI/ML use cases for business units.
• Build and maintain visual, executive-ready dashboards and translate AI and bot metrics into actionable summaries.
• Present findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences and support the 60–90-day transition from external vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of professional analytics experience preferred, or 7+ years of equivalent practical analytics experience without a degree.
• 1–2 years of foundational exposure to, or strong practical interest in, AI/ML concepts, including predictive modeling, NLP, or automation; advanced model development and coding are not required.
• Ability to map data trends to strategic AI improvements and translate metrics into business value.
• Professional experience in a Healthcare Payor or Provider, insurance, or health plan environment is highly preferred; Financial Services experience is a strong secondary option.
• Proficiency building executive-ready dashboards using Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Expertise in requirements elicitation, technical documentation, and AS-IS/TO-BE workflow mapping.
• Strong foundational ability to inspect data structures; SQL querying is a strong plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including explaining data trends and business value to stakeholders.
