Systems Administrator (Systems Administration, Senior Associate)

Location: Lexington Park, MD / Patuxent River, MD; 5 days on-site. The role may require flexible weekend or evening shifts and 10%–15% travel to other sites.

Salary: $125,000–$165,000 per year.

What you will do

• Install, configure, administer, support, and maintain Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Administer and support VMware server and cluster environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and external vendors.
• Maintain user accounts, install hardware and software, monitor LAN/WAN and circuit-switching systems, and evaluate equipment performance.
• Document maintenance, repair, testing, system changes, schematics, diagrams, reports, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow change-control procedures, perform QA evaluations against technical orders and manufacturer specifications, and develop analytical techniques and methodologies.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret clearance is required.
• US citizenship is required.
• 10 years of experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, network security, systems maintenance, systems monitoring/reporting, requirements analysis and planning, resource scheduling, configuration management, and documentation management.
• Active Security+ CE certification.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification; HS/GED with equivalent work experience is also accepted.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with very good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 40 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Active Directory, domain configuration, and management.
• Experience with Group Policy management.
• Knowledge of applying DoD STIGs.
