What you will do

• Develop and execute functional automated and manual tests for application software serving public-sector users.
• Create, edit, and manage automated tests covering both front-end and back-end functionality.
• Work within a multi-skilled Agile team using approaches such as Kanban and Scrum.
• Improve testing processes and contribute to delivering working software that meets user needs.
• Communicate technical testing details to non-technical audiences and support a strong client experience.

Requirements

• Proven ability to learn a new business domain or architecture quickly and provide an excellent client experience.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical detail to non-technical audiences.
• Experience creating, editing, and managing automated front-end and back-end tests using Selenium, Cypress, or REST Assured.
• Demonstrable experience with cloud architecture and participation in an Agile team.
• Experience working in a Continuous Integration environment with Jenkins and/or TeamCity, and with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Knowledge of fundamental testing and Quality Assurance concepts, with demonstrable experience improving testing processes.
• Knowledge or experience in at least one type of non-functional testing.

Nice to have

• Experience using cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Experience producing assurance artefacts, including test plans, reports, or metrics.
• Experience testing APIs, microservices, and databases, including use of SQL.
