Senior QA Automation

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid work after mutual agreement

Salary: €2,700 gross per month minimum; final compensation is negotiable based on seniority, experience, skills, qualifications, and expertise.

What you will do

• Design and execute integration tests for APIs, message contracts, transformations, routing, error handling, and end-to-end flows.
• Develop reusable Java automation components and automated tests for TIBCO-to-Apache Camel migration releases.
• Establish a sustainable regression suite and comparative testing between legacy TIBCO and new Camel implementations.
• Automate synchronous and asynchronous scenarios involving Kafka and JMS, including mocks, stubs, and test data for upstream and downstream systems.
• Analyze logs and transactions with Kibana, Elasticsearch, and correlation IDs; validate data consistency with SQL against Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD, define testing standards, investigate root causes, and collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, and testers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in backend/integration testing or system integration.
• Strong knowledge of API and integration testing, including REST, SOAP, synchronous and asynchronous communication, error handling, retries, timeouts, and complex integration flows.
• Hands-on Java test automation experience, preferably with RestAssured, Serenity BDD, or similar frameworks.
• Good understanding of JSON, XML, schemas, and API contracts.
• Knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data independently at database level.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, and logging or monitoring tools such as Kibana or Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI, JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to analyze integration services, design test coverage, troubleshoot distributed systems, and communicate effectively with cross-functional specialists.
• Native Slovak or Czech and English at B1 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Camel, TIBCO BusinessWorks, TIBCO EMS, or other ESB and integration platforms.
• Knowledge of Kafka, JMS, Enterprise Integration Patterns, and message-driven architectures.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, service virtualization, performance or load testing, and tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Telecommunications experience, particularly BSS/OSS and integration processes.
• Experience with enterprise integration platform migration or modernization, BPMN, Camunda, and AI-assisted development or test automation tools.
