Senior Test Automation Tech Lead (Cypress & Python)

Location: Lisbon, hybrid, with up to 3 remote days per week; candidates must have an existing legal right to work in Europe.

Salary: €4,620–€5,670 gross/month on a B2B contract, or €2,450–€2,750 net/month on a permanent contract.

What you will do

• Assess automation opportunities and define testing approaches for projects.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests using Cypress and Python across UI, API, and batch environments.
• Create test cases and perform manual and automated testing.
• Identify, document, and track regressions, incidents, and anomalies using Mantis or Jira.
• Maintain test suites and integrate automated tests into software factory pipelines with development and product teams.
• Lead continuous improvement and support project teams in advancing automation practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in testing activities, including experience as a Tech Lead Automation Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of QA principles and testing best practices.
• Experience creating test cases and executing manual and automated tests.
• Strong problem-solving and anomaly-detection skills.
• Proficiency with Cypress, Python, VBA, UFT, Sauce Labs, Xray, MongoDB, Git, and Postman.
• Experience designing automated tests for UI, API, and batch applications.
• Strong communication skills and effective collaboration in an Agile environment.
• Communicative English and French at B2 level required.
• Existing legal right to work in Europe required; visa sponsorship is not stated.
