Senior QA Automation Engineer

Location: Remote from Poland; current residence in Poland and authorization to work for any employer in Poland are required. Other location: Wrocław, Poland.

Salary: 11,500–16,600 PLN per month, or up to 199,200 PLN annually; an annual discretionary bonus may apply.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web-based applications.
• Build and maintain automation with Selenium, SilkTest, CodedUI, QTP/UFT, or comparable frameworks.
• Test cloud-based web applications, services, and REST APIs through functional, integration, regression, and manual testing.
• Create test plans, test cases, and testing strategies from product and technical requirements.
• Investigate defects, troubleshoot failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and QA professionals.
• Expand automation coverage, improve testing efficiency and reliability, and communicate quality risks and results to technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, including several years of hands-on test automation.
• Practical experience building or maintaining automated tests with Selenium, SilkTest, CodedUI, QTP/UFT, or an equivalent framework.
• Experience testing cloud-based web applications and REST APIs or web services.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle, and defect management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot failed tests and determine whether issues originate in the application, API, automation, or test environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and effective collaboration with software engineers.

Nice to have

• ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Software Quality Engineer, or comparable QA/testing certification.
• Experience defining or improving test automation strategies or frameworks.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience testing distributed or enterprise-scale applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
