Lecturer of Political Science (American Politics)

What you will do

• Teach five undergraduate Political Science courses per semester, including introductory and upper-division courses.
• Teach in the American Politics specialization with a focus on public policy.
• Support the university’s Dual Credit and Early College High School programs.
• Work with the Office of Early College and Academic Partnerships to meet student course needs.
• Use innovative instructional methods and contribute to student success.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Political Science or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution by the time of appointment.
• Demonstrated specialization in Political Science.
• Prior teaching experience in a university setting.
• Commitment to working with diverse students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in Political Science or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching Dual Credit, Early College High School, or other high school-aged students.
• Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
