Software Engineer (AWS/Python)

Location: United States - Exton, PA; hybrid

US base salary: $86,000–$164,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate Python platform services and integration APIs for metadata, service health, service intelligence, multi-tenant deployment, and data product registration.
• Develop infrastructure as code for IAM, networking, compute, serverless services, and data stores across multiple AWS accounts and regions.
• Automate single-tenant onboarding, monitoring, observability provisioning, and event-driven serverless workflows using AWS Lambda, S3, and API Gateway.
• Own CI/CD orchestration with GitHub Actions and TeamCity pipelines, including Kotlin DSL and shared metarunners.
• Build observability services for logging, metrics, health monitoring, and Elasticsearch/Kibana content managed as code.
• Maintain Docker images and ECS/EKS workloads, collaborate cross-functionally, and participate in the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, plus at least one year of software engineering experience.
• Ability to apply AI, including AI-assisted development workflows, and data-driven insights to improve innovation, productivity, and quality.
• Excellent Python programming skills; experience with Go, Java, or Kotlin is valuable.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, IAM, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora, and CloudWatch.
• Experience designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or similar tools.
• Comfort with Docker, ECS or Kubernetes/EKS, Git/GitHub, and familiarity with Jira.
• Understanding of distributed systems, availability, durability, fault tolerance, algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and passion for innovation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform and/or Terragrunt for multi-account, multi-region AWS infrastructure.
• Experience managing Elasticsearch/Kibana, Elastic Cloud, or other search and observability stacks as code.
• SQL and relational database experience, including Aurora PostgreSQL and schema migrations.
• Production experience with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Insurance or SaaS industry experience, or familiarity with hirify.global Cloud.
