Senior Mechanical Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Jerusalem, Israel; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design mounts and installation solutions for cameras, lidar, radar, computing units, and related vehicle hardware.
• Develop mechanical projects from requirements and concept design through detailed design, prototyping, validation, and release.
• Perform initial structural analysis and validate designs for vehicle loads, vibration, and durability.
• Prepare 3D models, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analyses, and production documentation.
• Build and test prototypes and installation kits, support manufacturing, and resolve design and installation issues.
• Collaborate with vehicle, hardware, system, manufacturing, purchasing, and supplier teams.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of mechanical design experience, including experience designing complex mechanical assemblies, preferably for vehicle installations.
• Mandatory proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience with CNC machining, sheet metal, and 3D printing.
• Hands-on experience taking designs from concept through manufacturing and validation.
• Ability to manage several projects independently.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with structural analysis and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and drawing release.
• Automotive, Robotaxi, or autonomous-vehicle experience.
• Experience with vibration and environmental validation.
• Mass-production and supplier-management experience.
• Opto-mechanical experience, including camera mounting, aiming, or calibration.
• CATIA experience.
