ATE Engineering Team Leader (Medical Devices)

ZOLL Itamar develops and manufactures WatchPAT home sleep apnea testing devices and related medical technologies for respiratory sleep disorder diagnosis.

What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle of automated test solution development, from specifications and system architecture through coding, hardware integration, and validation.
• Define test strategies, coverage methodologies, hardware and software specifications, and interface requirements for production product lines.
• Develop and introduce NPI test systems from R&D through mass production, including test-station readiness and manufacturing-line deployment.
• Optimize test coverage and cycle times while supporting contract manufacturers globally.
• Manage subcontractors and design reviews, including PDR and CDR.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration, root-cause analysis, infrastructure upgrades, and resolution of complex systemic test failures.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience managing ATE development engineering teams for multidisciplinary products.
• At least 5 years of experience in high-volume production processes and at least 10 years of experience with NPI testers.
• At least 10 years of experience with CAD systems, including Altium or OrCAD, and PLM systems.
• Experience developing PCBA test equipment, including ICT, flying probe, and hardware for bed-of-nails testing.
• Experience specifying, designing, and developing ATE, working directly with overseas contract manufacturers, and connecting production test results to databases and BI systems.
• Hands-on experience with automated test development, test fixture design, hardware-software integration, laboratory equipment, and electronic circuits.
• Deep understanding of Design for Testing and Design for Manufacturing principles; ability to write development and test specifications.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, analytical, project management, and leadership skills.
