Content Strategist (EdTech)

Location: Hybrid from hirify.global's Kitchener office or remote within Canada. This is a 12-month contract.

Salary: CAD 57,000–80,000 annualized base salary.

What you will do

• Plan and create multilingual, persona-specific content strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Write, edit, organize, and maintain release notes, FAQs, help topics, blog posts, tutorials, and other technical content.
• Create accessible GIFs and video tutorials and support content design, information architecture, and user experience.
• Develop style guides, writing guidelines, glossaries, templates, and standard operating procedures.
• Manage release-cycle assignments, conduct usability tests, analyze productivity and content metrics, and track improvement opportunities.
• Work with translators, regional teams, translation vendors, developers, product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to address localization and documentation needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, technical writing certificate, or equivalent work experience.
• Approximately 5 years of total relevant experience.
• Experience using version control tools such as GitHub.
• Experience with XML-based documentation publishing software such as MadCap Flare.
• Familiarity with localization tools such as SDL Trados or MemoQ, plus content and learning management systems.
• Understanding of SEO principles and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Knowledge of XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
