Product Owner - Innovation Team (AI)

Location: Remote worldwide; availability to work EU hours required. The posting is associated with Warsaw, Poland.

hirify.global develops hirify.global OS and Imunify360 security products for the web hosting industry, while its innovation team validates new product concepts.

What you will do

• Own the pipeline of product concepts, document assumptions, rank opportunities, and keep the backlog visible to the CPO and leadership.
• Take funded concepts to working MVPs within a typical one-quarter timebox, using named customers or design partners for testing.
• Define measurable success criteria and report usage, conversion, willingness to pay, and support load.
• Make go/no-go decisions, transfer proven products with a runbook and roadmap, and document lessons from unsuccessful concepts.
• Choose and build the fastest credible prototypes, review designs and code, and ensure packaging, safe rollout, rollback, and observability.
• Lead, hire, mentor, and develop a small distributed engineering team while establishing effective async working agreements.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a software engineer and 2+ years leading a small team with people responsibility in a product company or startup.
• A track record of taking at least one product from concept to first paying customers and stopping one product that did not work.
• Strong Linux proficiency, the ability to build and review code in Python, Go, or TypeScript, and experience debugging live systems.
• Practical product discovery skills, including customer interviews, assumption mapping, pricing experiments, and independent analysis of usage and conversion data.
• Experience quickly mastering complex technical domains and making credible architectural decisions.
• Demonstrated people leadership covering 1:1s, performance conversations, hiring, and engineer development.
• Experience with agentic or AI-assisted development workflows.
• Professional written and spoken English.
• Availability to work EU hours.

Nice to have

• Web hosting experience with cPanel/WHM, Plesk, DirectAdmin, or infrastructure for a hosting provider.
• Experience with security products such as runtime protection, web application firewalls, malware detection, vulnerability management, or patching.
• Experience with freemium, product-led growth, or self-serve billing models.
• Familiarity with Node.js or Python runtimes and their package ecosystems.
• Experience presenting to customers or at industry events.
