Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer (Insurance)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work with up to 2 remote days per week. Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in Europe will be considered.

Salary: €3,780–€4,410 per month for B2B contracts, or €2,050–€2,300 net per month for a permanent contract.

What you will do

• Analyse the product backlog and assess the feasibility of test automation.
• Specify functional and non-functional test scenarios and test cases.
• Develop automated testing scripts and implement testing scenarios.
• Organise and manage the test execution pipeline.
• Identify, track, and report bugs and defects.
• Propose valuable automated scenarios, expand automation coverage with functional QA engineers, and support more junior QA engineers through knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or test automation, including at least 3 years in test automation.
• Higher education.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and XRAY.
• Knowledge of Gherkin.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Katalon Studio, and Jenkins.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Non-Life Insurance domain.
• French language skills.
