QA Engineer (SaaS Automation)

Location: Fully remote within the EU, with listed locations in the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway. Annual physical team meetups take place somewhere in Europe.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated tests using JavaScript or TypeScript and Playwright.
• Perform manual regression, exploratory testing, and feature validation where automation is not sufficient.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA colleagues to clarify requirements and improve release quality.
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects using logs, browser developer tools, and test outputs.
• Record reproducible issues in Jira and contribute to shared knowledge bases.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience testing web applications within a SaaS company.
• Experience balancing manual and automated testing, with readiness to promote an automation-first approach.
• Strong debugging, analytical, exploratory testing, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Fluent English communication skills for documenting findings, communicating test results, and providing structured updates.
• Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Playwright, Git, CI/CD integrations, and debugging and analytical work; these skills will be assessed during recruitment.

Nice to have

• API and backend service testing with Python and pytest.
• Familiarity with performance or security testing tools.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
