Quality Engineer II (Python)

Location: Porto, Portugal (hybrid). The role is fully remote for candidates residing outside Porto, Maia, Matosinhos, Gondomar, Valongo, and Vila Nova de Gaia; candidates within these municipalities must work in the office 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Write, maintain, and run end-to-end automated tests for the hirify.global Virtual Contact Center application.
• Analyze test results using framework and product logs and investigate failures with guidance from senior engineers when needed.
• Contribute features and fixes to the Python automation framework and internal tools.
• Improve test stability and efficiency, including reducing flaky tests.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps to resolve issues and clarify testing needs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and suggest improvements to tools and processes.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in test automation or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Python 3 or another object-oriented programming language, plus a good understanding of programming fundamentals and OOP.
• Experience automating REST APIs or similar interfaces.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Experience with Git and an issue tracker such as JIRA.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a collaborative and curious mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with Selenium.
• Familiarity with pytest or Robot Framework.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Basic knowledge of Docker or cloud environments.
• Interest in contact center or telephony technologies.
• Familiarity with multithreading or concurrency concepts.
