Staff Hydrogeologist I-III

Location: Phoenix, AZ, USA; occasional travel to project sites across Arizona and the surrounding region

Salary: $31.00–$45.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience

What you will do

• Collect groundwater, surface water, and soil samples and deploy and maintain monitoring instrumentation.
• Support well drilling and construction oversight, including borehole logs and well diagrams.
• Organize, evaluate, and analyze hydrogeologic data from fieldwork and public datasets.
• Assist with hydrogeologic conceptual models and groundwater modeling efforts.
• Contribute to technical reports and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, drilling crews, laboratories, and clients while following health, safety, and field protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, hydrogeology, environmental or earth science, or a related field.
• 0–4 years of experience in hydrogeology, water resources, or environmental consulting is preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites across Arizona and the surrounding region.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with well drilling oversight, geologic logging, groundwater sampling, and monitoring instrumentation.
• Familiarity with GIS, AQTESOLV, Leapfrog, Petra, or MODFLOW.
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Arizona Registered Geologist certification or interest in pursuing it.
