Location: Hybrid in Akron, Ohio, United States.

Salary: $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Assist with the design and development of water collection systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.
• Conduct field inspections, site condition assessments, flow monitoring, confined-space entry participation, and other field data collection and review.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project documentation.
• Perform data analysis and modeling to support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams on project planning and execution.
• Support regulatory compliance and follow safety standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, critical engineering thinking, and schedule-management ability.
• Proficiency with engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Ability and willingness to participate in daily teamwork, site visits, and confined-space entries.

Nice to have

• Internship or co-op experience in water resources or environmental engineering.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to water collection systems.
• Familiarity with sustainable water management practices.
• Experience with collection systems, drainage infrastructure, and waterways; a background understanding of hydraulics is a plus.
