Survey Intern

Location: Columbia, SC, United States; on-site

Compensation: $15.00–$18.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assist survey crews with fieldwork, data collection, survey layout, measurements, and field documentation.
• Research deeds, plats, maps, physical monuments, and public records.
• Learn and use survey equipment and technology for field data collection.
• Assist with establishing and reestablishing survey control while maintaining accurate field notes and project documentation.
• Support Surveyors, Survey Technicians, and project teams with daily project needs.
• Travel to local project sites and follow established safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Interest in developing a career in land surveying, engineering, or geospatial services.
• Comfort working outdoors and in varying field conditions.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn survey equipment, software, and field procedures.
