Streamlit Data App Engineer (EU)

Location: EU; eligible locations are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Fully remote, office-based, or hybrid work is available.

Salary: EUR 2,525–3,350 per month gross. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and productionize Python and Streamlit data applications hosted on Databricks Apps.
• Prepare the existing Lineage Explorer application for full production readiness.
• Design and build a data-entry and data-exposure application for Competitive Intelligence supporting approximately 600 users.
• Propose UX, application architecture, intuitive flows, layouts, and user interactions.
• Collaborate with Databricks and Data Engineering teams responsible for the underlying data foundation.
• Own application deployment, maintenance, operations, and change management.

Requirements

• 4+ years of strong hands-on Python experience.
• Hands-on experience with Streamlit or similar frameworks for Python-based data applications.
• Experience building interactive data applications with business logic, data input, and data visualization or data exposure beyond traditional BI dashboards.
• Strong UX and product mindset, including the ability to proactively propose intuitive application flows, layouts, and user interactions.
• Good understanding of backend concepts and data flows, beyond purely frontend or UI concerns.
• Understanding of application maintenance, operations, deployment, and change management processes.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, with strong ownership of solution design and delivery.
• English at Intermediate+ level or above.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure Databricks and data engineering environments.
• Understanding of dbt and data engineering fundamentals.
• React experience as an alternative or complementary frontend technology.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive reporting contexts.
• Pharma or biotech industry experience.
