Senior Analytics Engineer (Central Data)

Location: Remote from Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Cyprus, or the Netherlands

What you will do

• Design and evolve entities, metrics, and data products in the central model with tests, lineage, and documentation.
• Build and maintain pipelines, onboard data sources end to end, maintain CI/CD and data-quality checks, and participate in migrations.
• Interview stakeholders, understand their processes, scope solutions, and connect data work to business cost and value.
• Support recurring reporting, regulatory and audit cycles, reconciliations, and business data requests.
• Build and evaluate LLM steps for translation, classification, aggregation, and unstructured-data preparation.
• Expose the semantic layer to internal tools and agents through MCP and APIs, and prepare certified, traceable data for agentic tools and external recipients.

Requirements

• Expert SQL and strong dimensional or semantic data-modelling skills.
• Working Python skills, including tests and version control.
• Experience building metrics and semantic layers.
• ETL and data warehouse or lakehouse experience, including onboarding sources end to end.
• Hands-on production experience with LLMs in data work, such as classification, extraction, translation, or agents used by others.
• Consultative approach to business processes: understand how processes work, propose solutions, and frame them in terms of business value.
• The role requires technical depth and is not limited to business analysis, ticket execution, ML research, model training, or platform infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Databricks and Unity Catalog.
• MCP, tool calling, tracing, and evaluations for LLM applications and agents.
• Workflow automation tools such as n8n.
• CI/CD, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Fintech or banking experience, including transaction monitoring, treasury, reconciliation, or regulatory data, or experience with another high-volume operational business.
