Finance Reporting Manager

Location: Hybrid working with office attendance at the HQ in Leicestershire or the London, Holborn office; fully remote working is not available.

What you will do

• Own monthly and annual consolidation across UK and Australian entities, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and group adjustments.
• Prepare investor and lender reporting packs, commentary, and covenant compliance calculations, escalating headroom risks.
• Lead year-end close, prepare consolidated IFRS statutory accounts and disclosure notes, and manage the external audit workstream.
• Draft and maintain technical accounting position papers covering revenue recognition, capitalised development costs, leases, and share-based payments.
• Improve accounting controls, systems, processes, and close reliability, including practical use of AI; produce cash flow forecasts and support treasury, FX, and tax activity.
• Coach and develop financial accountants and deputise for the Financial Controller when required.

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified, with extensive post-qualification experience from a Big Four or mid-tier technical accounting background and recent industry roles.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations.
• Significant industry experience in external audit and year-end reporting.
• Experience line managing accountants and supporting their development.
• Ability to explain technical accounting positions clearly to non-finance colleagues and auditors.
• Confidence working with large data sets and Excel, plus comfort using systems and AI to reduce manual work.
• Leadership potential and interest in broadening into treasury, tax, controls, and senior stakeholder work.

Nice to have

• Experience in a private-equity-backed or listed business.
• Hands-on experience with Business Central, Caseware, or DataRails.
