Off-Page AEO/SEO Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Own off-page SEO, link building, digital PR, partnerships, guest contributions, and brand mentions as one authority-building program.
• Win AI citations for hirify.global across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews using citation data to identify and secure relevant placements.
• Write and place technical guest posts, partner articles, and contributed content for developer audiences.
• Run digital PR, develop relationships with publications, newsletters, podcasts, editors, and authors, and create linkable research and technical assets with Content and DevRel.
• Manage link vendors, placement quality, targets, anchor plans, costs, and automated prospecting, outreach, follow-up, and reporting workflows.
• Operate Reddit and X engagement, respond to developer complaints and support issues, report weekly on citation share, traffic, signups, and contact-sales leads, and run experiments to improve results.

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in off-page SEO, digital PR, or link building, ideally at a developer tool, API, cloud, or PLG SaaS company.
• Hands-on experience personally building links, landing placements, running digital PR campaigns, and demonstrating the domains won and traffic generated.
• Hands-on experience tracking AI citations from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and AI Overviews and getting a brand cited.
• Strong understanding of developer publications, newsletters, subreddits, X accounts, and developer communities.
• Ability to write personal outreach pitches and build relationships with editors, maintainers, and newsletter authors.
• Ability to participate helpfully and transparently on Reddit and X and identify valuable threads quickly.
• Strong technical writing skills, including turning topics such as voice AI latency or inference costs into publishable guest posts.
• Ability to work independently without an agency safety net or outreach team, while building systems and reporting results.
• Experience using AI agents and automated workflows for prospecting, listening, follow-ups, or reporting; familiarity with Ahrefs or Semrush, AI visibility tools, and Search Console; ability to connect data to signups and pipeline.
• Strong judgment on link quality, including relevance, traffic, authority, vendor management, and avoiding link farms and private blog networks.

Nice to have

• Telecom, CPaaS, networking, or AI infrastructure experience.
• Good-faith Reddit or Hacker News participation with an established account history.
• Experience building listening or outreach automation with AI agents, scripts, Reddit or X APIs, or Zapier-style workflows.
• Experience with AI visibility tools such as AI Clicks, Profound, or Peec, or with building citation-tracking systems.
• Original research or data journalism that earned coverage or links, plus contacts at developer publications, newsletters, or podcasts.
• Some coding ability in Python or SQL.
• Experience with G2, Capterra, comparison sites, and alternative listicles; basic technical SEO knowledge covering canonicals, redirects, and indexing.
• Startup or first-hire experience building a function from scratch with little structure.
