Finance Specialist (FP&A/Controlling)

What you will do

• Own the US budget, rolling forecast, monthly performance reviews, and analysis of P&L, revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, and variances.
• Monitor project profitability, utilization, delivery economics, and consulting KPIs; support pricing, proposals, and contract reviews.
• Partner with US business leaders and Group Finance to identify risks and opportunities and support commercial and operational decisions.
• Coordinate month-end close, financial statements, tax compliance, Group reporting, accounting and tax advisors, audit requests, payroll-related coordination, and intercompany matters.
• Supervise one team member supporting billing and finance operations while overseeing billing, revenue recognition, receivables, and issue resolution.
• Support selected controlling activities for Mexico and improve reporting, financial models, controls, workflows, and finance systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of finance experience, including substantial hands-on experience in controlling or FP&A; consulting, IT, or professional services experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, project margins, financial reporting, and cash flow.
• Experience supporting US operations or working in a multinational, cross-border environment; working knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition is an advantage.
• Ability to act as the business-facing counterpart to outsourced accounting and tax advisors, review outputs, ask relevant questions, and escalate specialist matters.
• Ability to manage a small billing and administration function.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and BI/reporting tools.
• Fluent professional English and Spanish, with confidence engaging directly with senior business leaders.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; proactive, rigorous, and able to balance strategic insight with execution.
