Senior Engineer (AI)

hirify.global is an early-stage startup building AI agents for financial crime intelligence, automating AML, KYB, and KYC review processes for financial institutions.

What you will do

• Build and maintain full-stack product features across front-end, back-end, AI, DevOps, and MLOps.
• Develop interfaces that clearly explain system decisions and backend systems that scale reliably to high request volumes.
• Use LLMs, AI agents, and computer vision to improve product speed, accuracy, thoroughness, and explainability.
• Build evaluation systems, optimise prompts, fine-tune language and vision models, and train bespoke AI models for compliance use cases.
• Maintain fast deployments and effective CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate customer needs into AI solutions and continuously reduce errors.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a full-stack or product engineering role, including experience with AI/ML and computer vision.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and NodeJS, with strong product intuition.
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning pre-trained models, and training custom models, including vision models.
• Strong understanding of applying AI to real-world customer problems.
• Ability to follow AI advancements and apply them effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, including explaining complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ownership of projects and outcomes.
• Willingness to learn, tackle challenges, and adapt as the company scales.
