Data Center Ops Technician IV

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States; office/data center based. Tuesday-Friday, 4 x 10-hour shifts, second shift from 3pm-2am EST.

Salary: $67,568.00-$99,137.50 per year, depending on geographic market and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional incentive compensation, equity awards, and ESPP may be available.

What you will do

• Monitor and prioritize internal tickets to provide customer support.
• Maintain secure, operational customer server environments and support 99.999% uptime.
• Troubleshoot operating systems, storage, hardware, and RAID configurations; perform upgrades and firmware updates.
• Support servers running Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Server, Ubuntu Linux, and VMware ESX Server, including PXE-based OS installations and basic network IP configuration.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling, switches, firewalls, load balancers, security appliances, DAS, and NAS arrays.
• Complete customer maintenance requests involving hardware modifications, device mounting, OS installation, and cabling.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of experience working in a data center environment.
• Ability to build, repair, and upgrade hardware components.
• Strong understanding of storage RAID configurations and requirements.
• Peer leadership experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead.
