Project and Change Manager (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid working in Leeds, typically 2–3 days per week in the Alpha office; occasional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead and deliver acquisition integration, IT, business, and operational change initiatives, projects, and programmes.
• Drive projects autonomously, managing plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and corrective actions.
• Establish project governance, clarify responsibilities and escalation routes, and chair Steering Committee meetings when appropriate.
• Partner with stakeholders as a trusted change advisor, building buy-in, reducing resistance, and supporting implementation.
• Translate complex project information into clear communications and recommendations for senior leaders, including C-suite stakeholders.
• Capture lessons learned, improve change approaches, and align delivery with business objectives, culture, and values.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in project management, change management, consulting, and/or transformation, particularly operational change.
• Extensive proven experience leading and delivering operational change, including acquisition integration, IT implementations, business change, and operational implementation projects as a project or programme manager.
• Understanding and practical experience of end-to-end project and change management processes, frameworks, and collateral.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects with cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, problem-solving, analytical, organisational, and project planning skills.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders up to C-suite level and the ability to influence and build relationships across the organisation.
• Experience developing and delivering change communications and training.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach and strong initiative.
• Good Microsoft Office skills; experience with other SaaS systems such as Salesforce and Slack is a plus.

• Professional certification in Change Management.
• Project management certification or experience in structured project environments.
• Professional Services and/or Financial Services experience.
• Experience with digital transformation or large-scale systems implementations.
• Exposure to business process improvement methodologies.
