Electronic Security Senior Project Manager (Electronic Security Systems)

Location: Phoenix, AZ, USA; regular construction-site and client-site work with 70–90% local travel within a 2-hour driving distance

Salary: USD 111,300–160,100 / hour

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale electronic and physical security systems, managing scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate implementation and integration of CCTV, electronic access control, intrusion detection, and perimeter security solutions.
• Develop project baselines and schedules, monitor deviations, control financial performance, and implement corrective actions to protect margins.
• Coordinate design reviews, field verification, construction sequencing, site readiness, documentation, programming, testing, and final system checkout.
• Manage stakeholders, client communications, commissioning, punch-list resolution, project turnover, and client and service-team training.
• Work with site supervisors, general contractors, end users, and cross-functional teams while supporting problem-solving and resource coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction trades and settings or experience with Electronic Security Systems (ESS).
• Experience delivering waterfall schedules to fixed delivery dates while controlling quality and profitability.
• Experience in client-facing roles and working with or for enterprise-level clients.
• Strong technical abilities and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Understanding of when and how to apply Agile methodologies within a waterfall program without creating schedule risks.
• Solid understanding of PMP methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to follow repeatable processes and participate in Constant Process Improvement (CPI).
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Project management experience with large, complex technical projects within an at-scale program.
• Experience with Electronic Security Systems (ESS).
• Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM).
• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
