Sr. Project Manager

Location: Cambridge, MA, US

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 annually; performance bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-priority programs and concurrent projects, defining strategies, priorities, governance, and execution plans.
• Manage project plans, budgets, forecasts, RAID frameworks, financial variances, risks, dependencies, and competing priorities.
• Drive adoption and continuous improvement of SAFe, Lean-Agile, PMI, and other project management practices.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams; provide executive reporting and influence decisions without direct authority.
• Lead change management, process improvements, GPMO standards, governance, and delivery coordination across internal, external, and geographically distributed teams.
• Support SOWs, RFI/RFP responses, project scoping, contract alignment, financial oversight, mentoring, recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field required; a master’s degree or advanced certification is preferred.
• 6–9+ years of progressive project management experience, including independently leading complex, high-priority programs and multiple concurrent initiatives through the full lifecycle.
• Lean-Agile certification required, such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Practitioner, or PMI-ACP; PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing projects across the software development lifecycle and exposure to product development, professional services, or corporate program management strongly preferred.
• Experience managing program budgets, financial forecasts, commercial commitments, and contractual requirements; pre-sales experience with SOWs, RFP responses, and project scoping is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, retrospective tools, and enterprise project management and collaboration platforms.
• Software development or technical background preferred.
