Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid schedule with two days of in-office collaboration per week in San Francisco or New York City, United States.

Base pay range: $1,064,000–$141,000 annually, excluding bonus, benefits, and perks.

What you will do

• Wireframe and validate design directions using sketches, Figma, prototypes, and usability testing.
• Lead cross-functional workshops to define problems and align on solutions.
• Create detailed product designs covering copy, user flows, error states, edge cases, and micro-interactions.
• Advocate for evidence-based and inclusive design decisions using user research and data.
• QA staging builds and support engineering after handoff.
• Expand design system components and contribute to design critiques and feedback loops.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a product design role.
• Strong command of visual design principles.
• Ability to express early ideas through sketches, wireframes, or AI prototypes and explain how solutions address business and user needs.
• Ability to produce polished Figma design specifications with engineering annotations.
• Ability to contribute work that follows an established design system.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining design decisions and tradeoffs to varied audiences.
• Experience supporting or conducting user research, including interviews and usability studies.
