Director, People Operations & Total Rewards

Location: Ideally based in the New York City office with onsite work three days per week; London may also be considered.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 USD annually, plus potential bonuses and region-specific benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the People Operations and Office Operations team, set expectations and growth paths, coach team members, and manage change adoption.
• Own People inputs and output validation for payroll across all countries, including hires, terminations, compensation changes, variable compensation, leave, and location changes.
• Partner with Finance and HR Business Partners on global compensation programs, pay bands, merit and promotion cycles, variable compensation, benchmarking, pay equity, forecasting, and workforce planning.
• Own global benefits strategy, vendors, budgets, localized administration, compliance, renewals, complex benefits issues, and leave administration.
• Lead HR systems strategy, data integrity, governance, automation, AI-enabled tools, people analytics, contractor compliance, the People help desk, and regional policy upkeep.
• Lead global office operations, workplace management, health and safety, vendors, space planning, office policies, workplace experience, and budgets supporting a hybrid model.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in People Operations, Culture, or Total Rewards, including proven team leadership experience.
• Experience supporting a global workforce and strong knowledge of U.S. benefits and employment practices as well as international practices.
• Experience partnering with Finance on payroll inputs and validation.
• Experience with HR systems such as BambooHR, CultureAmp, ADP, or similar, including ownership of data integrity and governance.
• Experience running global engagement surveys and turning results into action.
• AI fluency, willingness to adopt automation, and a record of introducing new tools and redesigning workflows.
• Experience leading workplace operations or managing teams that do so.
• Strong project management and process design skills, with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach.
