Staff Software Engineer (Firefox Enterprise)

Salary: €81,000–€108,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop administration and monitoring tools that improve the usability and security of Firefox in large enterprise deployments.
• Improve Firefox functionality through integration with remote services.
• Assess team and product roadmap priorities and provide recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership, support the engineering team, and build cross-team relationships.
• Collaborate with a geographically distributed development team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing robust services according to modern best practices.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including modularity, abstraction, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in Rust and JavaScript.
• Understanding of SQL and/or non-relational database systems.
• Excellent communication skills and effective experience working on a distributed team.
• Pragmatic decision-making within specific timeframes, including trade-offs and safeguards when implementing new functionality.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn, and commitment to hirify.global’s values.

Nice to have

• Front-end development experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with OIDC/OAuth2.
• Successful contributions to an open-source project.
