Staff+ Software Engineer, Enterprise Connectivity

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requiring staff to work from an office at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office attendance.

Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD.

What you will do

• Own connector activation end to end, measuring the funnel from discovery through first use and habit formation, and address the largest drop-offs.
• Build and run experiments for default connectors, in-product suggestions, connector requests, and onboarding flows.
• Develop near-zero-touch setup using open standards including Cross App Access (XAA) and the MCP authorization specification.
• Improve first-use experiences for connectors such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Build reusable platform foundations for launching, discovering, and activating new connectors, as well as enterprise admin and governance controls.
• Partner with product, design, data science, and sales; set technical direction, establish standards, mentor engineers, and align teams through influence.

Requirements

• Shipped growth or activation work involving onboarding flows, funnels, experimentation, and usage measurement.
• Practical understanding of authorization and identity, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SSO.
• Experience building on large platform APIs such as Microsoft Graph, Google Workspace, or similar, including debugging failures across both sides of the boundary.
• Built platform or ecosystem surfaces used by other teams or developers and designed durable APIs.
• Understanding of enterprise admin and security requirements for policy, permissions, and governance at scale.
• Uses data and user research to prioritize work and explain tradeoffs to product and design partners.
• Can drive cross-team and cross-company alignment and ship through influence rather than authority.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a field relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including 2+ years at Staff level or equivalent technical leadership.
• Contribution to or implementation of emerging authorization standards, including IETF OAuth drafts or MCP authorization.
• Experience with data governance or information protection, including sensitivity labels or DLP.
• Experience building admin consoles or policy engines for multi-tenant SaaS.
• Experience running growth experiments on activation funnels.
• Experience building AI products or agent tool integrations with MCP.
• Experience growing a developer or partner ecosystem around a platform.
