Procurement and Supply Chain Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA or New York, NY office; remote on Monday and Friday, in-office Tuesday through Thursday

What you will do

• Own procurement and supply chain dashboards in Hex, including data modeling, metric definitions, refresh schedules, publishing, and data quality checks.
• Track cost, spend, delivery, inventory, fulfillment, vendor, and 3PL KPIs across 3PL systems, Shopify, finance and ERP tools, and vendor portals.
• Build demand forecasts, total-cost-of-ownership models, vendor comparisons, and scenarios tied to enrollment and cohort starts.
• Develop sourcing strategies; select vendors, negotiate contracts, manage performance reviews, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage 3PL relationships, inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, reorder points, shipping, returns, and fulfillment for laptops, hotspots, and merchandise.
• Lead the Shopify store and branded merchandise program, create purchasing and onboarding SOPs, automate recurring work, and collaborate with Finance, IT, and Student Experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, ideally in technology, education, or consumer goods.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and cost modeling.
• Experience building dashboards end to end in a BI tool such as Hex, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Working SQL skills, including joining and querying data across multiple systems.
• Experience building demand forecasts and cost or scenario models and using them for purchasing decisions.
• Experience using KPIs and data analysis to evaluate vendors, reduce costs, and improve service levels, with proven negotiation and cost-savings results.
• Hands-on experience managing 3PL providers, including SLA design, performance scorecards, contract negotiation, and inventory reconciliation.
• Experience with e-commerce or merchandising platforms; Shopify is strongly preferred.
• Ability to turn data into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders and manage multiple vendors in a high-growth environment.
• Passion for making high-quality, affordable education accessible to students.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, or CIPS.
• Python or R skills for analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with data warehouses or ETL tools such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Fivetran.
• Experience with ERP, inventory, or procurement software; distributed hardware procurement; or connectivity and telecom contract optimization.
• Knowledge of contract law, compliance, and risk management.
