Buyer (Supply Chain / Procurement)

Location: Hybrid in Nashua, New Hampshire, United States. Due to ITAR regulations, the role is open only to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status; temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Salary: USD 65,700–80,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor Buyer I employees in preparing RFQs, RFPs, contract language, and amendments.
• Review purchasing requirements, requisitions, and procurement methods; recommend appropriate procurement strategies.
• Identify supplier pools, establish new sources of supply, and evaluate price, quantity, quality, availability, terms, and payment conditions.
• Issue and revise purchase orders for designated commodities and equipment; monitor contracts and orders and expedite deliveries.
• Reconcile invoice and purchase-order discrepancies and assist receiving personnel with supplier issues.
• Maintain purchasing records and documentation while identifying and communicating supply and service risks.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of purchasing experience or experience in a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented approach and accuracy when preparing full RFQs involving multiple materials and suppliers.
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals across a variety of tasks.
• Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status; temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of commonly used supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
