Team Lead, Software Engineer (AI)

Location: NYC, NY, United States; on-site five days a week at the Midtown, Manhattan office

Salary: USD 160,000–230,000 yearly

What you will do

• Design and build production software, spending the majority of time hands-on.
• Own complex technical initiatives from architecture through production.
• Define engineering standards and architectural direction.
• Lead a small engineering team through technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
• Break product initiatives into executable engineering plans and partner with Product and Design on customer-facing features.
• Remove technical blockers and balance shipping velocity with long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building production software.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers.
• Proven ability to deliver large technical projects while remaining hands-on.
• Strong background in distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
• Excellent software design and architectural judgment.
• Comfort working across the entire software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design.
