Senior System Admin (Windows/Linux)

Location: Arlington, TX, United States; office environment with secure closed areas and up to 50% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Build, document, maintain, and support mixed Windows and Linux closed-room infrastructures.
• Set up and manage software development environments and infrastructure components at company and customer sites.
• Administer Linux, Windows, Windows Server, VMware, networks, infrastructure hardware, operating systems, and applications.
• Create, test, update, and execute automated and semi-automated system deployment procedures.
• Monitor infrastructure reliability and availability, contribute to technology lifecycle recommendations, and answer technical questions.
• Support engineers while continuously troubleshooting infrastructure and system issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in cybersecurity and system administration.
• BS/BA in engineering, computer science, or information technology; a master's degree or above is preferred.
• Linux, Windows, Windows Server, VMware, and network administration experience.
• Knowledge of hardware, command-line tools, TCP/IP networking, managed switch and router setup, and event, audit, and syslog analysis.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Csh, Python, and PowerShell.
• Advanced problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong communication skills for working with peers, vendors, and other teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ certification and comply with DoD 8140.03 requirements, such as CISSP, Security+, and an operating-system certification.
• DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Only U.S. citizens are eligible due to U.S. Government contract requirements.

Nice to have

• Active DoD security clearance and active CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.
• Windows/Linux integration, domain controller and Group Policy management, storage systems, Cisco, HP/Aruba, and Juniper networking.
• Automated operating-system deployment, configuration management, version control, centralized auditing, centralized patching, and system hardening with STIGs.
• Experience with ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, SIEM tools such as Splunk or SolarWinds SEM, and DoD or classified systems.
• Relevant certifications including RHCSA, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CISSP, and Security+.
