Support Engineer III (Azure)

Location: Reston, VA, United States; flexible hybrid work schedule

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, commensurate with experience

What you will do

• Serve as the highest-level technical escalation point for client and internal engineering issues.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, proactive problem resolution, and client-friendly technical communication.
• Design, implement, and optimize hybrid cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and GCC/GCC High.
• Develop PowerShell and Python automation for provisioning, monitoring, and system management.
• Maintain 99.99% uptime through monitoring, redundancy, high-availability, and disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Compliance, Program Management, Account Management, and Client Success on infrastructure, onboarding, audits, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of IT engineering experience focused on MSP/MSSP environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, including Entra, Exchange, Intune, Purview, SharePoint, and Teams; GCC/GCC High experience is preferred.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure, networking, migrations, and storage accounts; AWS experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Active Directory and hybrid environments, including GPO and NPS, plus support for Mac, iPhone, and related tools.
• Advanced networking knowledge covering firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and SASE.
• Experience with Windows/Linux infrastructure, virtualization, infrastructure monitoring, performance tuning, and high-availability designs.
• Hands-on automation and scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of MSP/MSSP tools, including RMM, PSA, SIEM, EDR, email security, and backup solutions.
• Ability to align infrastructure with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP requirements while collaborating with security and compliance teams.
• Strong problem-solving, technical leadership, mentoring, and automation initiative experience.

• Azure AI, Copilot, and other AI product support experience.
• AWS experience.
• Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC High experience.
