Analyst - Network Planning Operations Integration (Airline Network Planning)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid arrangement with approximately 50% of the time onsite at the Chicago office and the remainder remote.

Base pay range: $66,500.00–$86,616.00 per year, with eligibility for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Build strategic scenarios covering infrastructure, schedule integrity, and air and ground operations support.
• Analyze fleet, network, and hub infrastructure allocation and utilization, and provide recommendations.
• Communicate network schedule details and align schedule criteria with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor metrics and operational criteria for gating, ground operations, and scheduling across hubs and spokes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with United Express, hub station leadership, and operations-focused teams.
• Support the network schedule development process and meet frequent deadlines.

Requirements

• 1+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency with SQL and Excel, including compiling data for analysis and reporting.
• Strong presentation, analytical, stakeholder management, and relationship management skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
• Successful completion of an interview is required to meet the job qualification.

Nice to have

• Experience in airline network planning, demand planning, operations analysis, airport operations, or business process improvement.
• Understanding of generative AI capabilities and limitations, with the ability to use AI for research, analysis, content creation, and problem solving while validating outputs and following responsible AI, privacy, and security policies.
