Data Architect - Contractor (SQL Server)

Location: Europe Remote; some in-office work is preferred. Country: United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Design, deliver, and maintain data architecture and data models focused on standards, growth, performance, flexibility, reliability, and scalability.
• Design and develop complex ETL jobs, data flows, pipelines, queries, analytics tools, and other data processes.
• Provide architectural guidance to development teams and contribute to new application features.
• Lead data migration, archiving, and warehousing initiatives.
• Collaborate on data quality and security projects and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Install, configure, deploy, support, and maintain SQL Server environments; troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, and create technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related area such as data science, mathematics, or statistics.
• 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• 7+ years of experience using SQL Server.
• 5+ years of experience in database design, data modeling, and ETL development.
• Experience designing SQL Server environments.
• Ability to manage and complete long-term projects, multitask, and prioritize workload effectively.
• Proactive working style with the ability to adapt to change.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and as part of a team.
