Senior Electrical Engineer (RF/Microwave)

What you will do

• Architect and design RF and microwave assemblies, precision analog, and mixed-signal circuitry for next-generation probes and acquisition systems.
• Create product-planning, architecture, and engineering design documentation.
• Design schematics and oversee layouts for complex high-frequency PCBs and ceramic or organic packages.
• Design test fixtures and automated test routines for prototype testing.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Electrical, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing engineers to bring concepts through product launch and mass production.
• Support product changes throughout the operational lifecycle and release engineering design packages to production configuration management.

Requirements

• BSEE or MSEE degree.
• 5–10 years of electronic design experience.
• Experience in RF and microwave circuit design and RF-specific tools including Microwave Office, ADS, VSS, Genesys, Sonnet 3D Planar, HFSS, and CST.
• Knowledge of PCB layout for RF and microwave circuits.
• Advanced RF, analog, and digital laboratory skills.
• Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and other standard laboratory equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, including driving meetings and design reviews and creating drawings, slides, and graphs to explain complex systems or data.
• Ability to train and mentor new engineers; logical thinking, fast learning, and willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of power supply design, microcontrollers, clocking design, and PCBA technology.
• Ability to analyze circuits in the frequency and time domains.
• Experience coordinating cross-disciplinary work with Mechanical, Software, QA, and Manufacturing engineers.
• Simulation and analysis experience with Orcad, PSpice, Excel, Ansys tools, MATLAB, or similar software.
• Python, VB, or similar scripting capability for measurement automation and data analysis.
• Ability to manage a project or subsystem across schedule, risk mitigation, cost, and materials considerations.
• Basic knowledge of digital signal processing theory.
