Senior Principal Electrical Engineer (CRM)

Location: Onsite at least 5 days per week in Mounds View, Minnesota, in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area, United States.

Salary: $176,800–$265,200 USD annually for U.S. locations excluding Puerto Rico and specific California locations.

What you will do

• Lead complex R&D programs and provide technical direction, risk management, design tradeoff support, and issue resolution from concept through launch.
• Own critical mixed-signal, analog, digital, RF, or PCB hardware blocks, including requirements, design documentation, integration, troubleshooting, and verification.
• Develop and evaluate ultra-low-power analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuitry for implantable and external cardiac systems.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation, characterization, margin assessment, root-cause investigations, and hardware/firmware debugging.
• Define test plans, characterization methods, production test requirements, verification strategies, automated test environments, and emulators.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and global production teams; mentor electrical engineers and influence design standards.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a PhD and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• Must work onsite at least 5 days per week in Mounds View, Minnesota.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment unless eligible for the stated Principal-level sponsorship policy.

Nice to have

• Technical leadership or principal-level ownership of complex electrical designs.
• PCB design methodology, CAD tools, manufacturing processes, analog and mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, and debugging.
• High-reliability or safety-critical application experience, including medical, aerospace, or automotive safety.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, RF analyzers, and low-current or low-noise measurement tools.
• Circuit simulation with PSPICE, LTspice, or similar tools; RF design or RF performance evaluation.
• Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW programming and scripting for test automation and data analysis.
• Class III medical device development, verification, and validation; familiarity with ISO 14708, IEC 60601, or similar standards.
• System modeling in MATLAB, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence across disciplines.
