Enterprise Application Engineer

Location: Remote, with candidates required to currently live in Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, or Wyoming. The role includes an on-call rotation with a one-hour response time.

Salary: $44.03–$61.64 per hour.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise applications and Windows Server-based infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex application, server, database, and infrastructure issues while providing expert support.
• Deploy enterprise applications and technologies, create system flow diagrams, and support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Design and maintain automated processes using PowerShell and other scripting or automation platforms.
• Establish monitoring and alerting for application availability, performance, and resource utilization.
• Maintain technical documentation, assess change risks, validate updates, and coordinate preventive maintenance across teams and end users.

Requirements

• Must currently live in Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, or Wyoming.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, specialized training from an accredited vocational school, or equivalent experience supporting systems and applications in enterprise environments.
• At least five years of experience with core IT technologies such as SQL Server, IIS, and SharePoint.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell automation, system monitoring, application deployment, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Experience mentoring others and working independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Experience managing Windows Server-based applications and enterprise infrastructure, creating and modifying scripts, and working with SQL-based applications.
• Familiarity with VMware vCenter and/or Horizon View, Microsoft Office, enterprise routing and switching, and server infrastructure.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation with a one-hour response time and perform the stated office-related physical duties, including occasionally lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50 pounds with accommodations.

Nice to have

• Current industry-standard certifications related to Microsoft Server, Security, or SQL.
• Juniper, Aruba, or Cisco certification.
