Raw Material Planner (Biotech)

Location: Based in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire office, Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

What you will do

• Plan, procure, and maintain material availability for manufacturing schedules while optimizing inventory and supplier performance.
• Convert planned orders and purchase requisitions into material plans and purchase orders; maintain planning parameters and material, vendor, and purchasing data in SAP.
• Coordinate with supply planners, schedulers, operations, internal stakeholders, and vendors to expedite materials and resolve supply, delivery, quality, pricing, compliance, and discrepancy issues.
• Support forecasting for non-BOM materials, establish inventory targets and safety stock levels, and facilitate on-time material availability for testing and release timelines.
• Manage material-related KPIs and reporting, supplier performance, vendor returns and replacements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in materials planning, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or inventory management is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes.
• Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, metric development, and root-cause analysis of supply chain issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with business intelligence and reporting tools.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and resolving material availability challenges.
• Understanding of inventory management, purchasing processes, and supply planning concepts; knowledge of GMP-regulated manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.
