Accountant

Location: Fully remote within the United States; occasional travel to Chattanooga for events may be requested. Preference is given to candidates within 50 miles of Chattanooga.

What you will do

• Maintain financial records according to GAAP and organizational standards.
• Support incentive calculations, account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance research.
• Prepare internal and external financial performance reports.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Create and use automated tools to update, analyze, and report consolidated financial results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience; equivalent experience requires 4 years in a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems and manage multiple assignments with critical deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial and accounting theory.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify variances, trends, and opportunities for accuracy.

Nice to have

• Accounting or financial experience.
• Exposure to AI-enabled tools.
