Controllers Global Accounting Senior Accountant (US GAAP)

Location: United States - Florida - Tampa; flexible hybrid model with remote work permitted two to three days per week and regular on-site collaboration

What you will do

• Prepare and support journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and month-end and quarter-end close deliverables.
• Analyze financial information, investigate routine and moderately complex variances, and recommend solutions to accounting and operational issues.
• Execute and document SOX controls, maintain accounting records and process documentation, and support compliance requirements.
• Communicate with management, peers, business partners, and other stakeholders about accounting matters, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Participate in global initiatives, process improvements, automation opportunities, standardization, and finance transformation projects.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and increase value-added activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience; or master’s degree with more than 0 years of experience; or associate’s degree with 6 years of experience; or high school diploma or equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Solid understanding of accounting and finance, with the ability to analyze financial information, investigate variances, and identify issues.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and meet deadlines with limited guidance.
• Commitment to internal controls, compliance requirements, documentation standards, and established process requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
• English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Public accounting or audit experience; statutory accounting or experience with other GAAP frameworks.
• CPA, CPA eligibility, ACCA, or an international equivalent.
• Experience with SAP for HANA, HFM, or similar enterprise financial systems.
• Experience in a global or multinational organization and supporting financial close, reconciliations, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, standardization, or finance transformation initiatives.
• Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, with awareness of responsible AI, risk management, and ethical use.
